 We loved the great enthusiasm of the staff at Vitranc, the young manager went above and beyond in all respects in helping us with a car problem, personable and genuine. Very difficult to find such friendliness these days. They should be given a special credit.
 Dobra Vila is indeed a special place, very unique... loved the room and the view.
Special thanks to Bob for his assistance at the start of our trip when Ryan air managed to cancel our flight and send us into a bit of a flap... we very much appreciated your clarity and helpfulness Bob when we were both at a bit of stress high.

 Toplice was great, especially as they had messed up our booking and so John and I got the Presidential Suite! We loved Bled and took a balloon flight which was amazing. The hotel organised this for us. Locations was superb and the kids enjoyed the swimming etc.
 Pule was extraordinary. A bit of a challenge since no-one (except the riding instructor Iztok) spoke English so we communicated in German. The results were unpredictable but entertaining. They couldn't have been nicer though and everything was superb. Best breakfasts ever. We were the only people staying for 2 out of the 3 nights (we were a bit put out to be joined by 1 other couple for 1 night!). When I mentioned to Iztok that there weren't too many people he said they like it that way so visitors can enjoy the peace. We went riding, and the kids loved the horses and tanking around on bikes. a brilliant final stop to loaf around for a few days after hectic 3 weeks.

The car train was a great experience as was the food at the Topli Val [Hvala Hotel].
 We met a couple from Nottingham whose itinerary you had also planned and they were equally delighted with your service. Keep up the good work - there is certainly a place for independent company's and from our experience under utilised. You were quite right Slovenia is the most wonderful country and we hope that it won't change like many of the 'Greek' countries have over the years with the increase in tourism. We'll be back!.

 Nebesa: the location and views were spectacular, very peaceful. The pool was great and I was even tempted to exercise, purely for the view from the wellness room. I loved the extra touches, like cheese and wine etc. A destination that almost made you feel you wanted to just sit on the veranda rather than explore the area around it.

 Now that we are settled back from our Slovene holiday, readjusting to this English non-summer, I wanted to thank you for all your help arranging what proved a wonderful holiday. All the hotels [Antiq, Vila Bled, Hiša Franko] that we chose in dicussion together, and for which you secured reservations, were excellent and the combination of Ljubljana, Lake Bled and the Soca Valley, followed by a night in the  Kendov Dvorec in Idria, could not have been better. It is indeed a delightful country of beautiful scenery, friendly people and... excellent wine. Indeed, we discovered that your name is legendary among UK travellers in Slovenia. In Hisa Franko we met David and Jill Prager from London, whose holiday had been arranged by Bob Burgher. And white water rafting in the Soca River we were in the company of (Scottish) Beth and Phil from Germany, whose wedding (no less!) had been arranged by Bob Burgher!

 Nebesa was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we arrived to the very sad moment when we had to leave.
The accommodation was excellent. The pool, sauna and jacuzzi were great. Everything was spotlessly clean. Every little detail had been thought about by the owners. I think what we loved the most was the concept of the place. Although we were made to feel very welcome we were also just left alone to enjoy our stay. (After we were shown around of course) I could go on about Nebesa for days ...in fact I think my family are a little fed up of hearing about it!!!
We're going back at the end of the summer for a long weekend.

 We had a fantastic holiday and loved Slovenia - it was even better than we had envisaged. There was enough variety of things to do to keep everyone happy.
Accommodationwise: Seruga was lovely and had excellent food. Hotel Bohinj had very spacious rooms and very comfortable beds, which we appreciated. We were glad that our last and longest stay was at Pristava Lepena! It was perfect - service, food, location, amenities - everything!

 Šeruga: The setting is fantastic and so relaxing and ideal for kids. It was lovely at night sitting on the balcony listening to the stream underneath.
Some of the party were late arriving on the 1st night and Lilli waited for them and ensured they had dinner, they were so accommodating to all our needs.
The rooms were large and very clean and comfortable
A big thank you to you guys - we are so pleased we changed from the Hotel Sport - visited there one night and it was everything you said, it really would have spoilt the trip.

Bojan's home-made salami rocks! Nebesa has absolutely everything you need to do nothing the best you possibly can. I particularly liked the robes. Both the crisp white ones for morning swims or evening saunas and the felt hooded ones for full moon pagan rituals. I have incorporated both into my everyday life.

 Belopeški Dvori was awesome, the owner and the waitress were a great laugh and we had a great time. The accom was full of character and perfect for our activity based holiday, we could cook when we wanted and the best food we had in Slovenia was next door in the hotel that owned the accom.  Bob, this was our best holiday ever. We loved every minute of our time in Slovenia and never tired of its stunning landscapes, its lakes and its mountains. My husband is from New Zealand, a country which is difficult to beat for natural beauty, but in our opinion, Slovenia will give it a run for its money!
The driving route you proposed for us was perfect, allowing us to explore all that Slovenia has to offer.  Our hotels met all our expectations, and we are convinced that you booked us into "the best room" in each and every one of them!! Vila Park and Nebesa were particularly special experiences for us.
We had a truly amazing holiday and want to thank you for the time you took in planning it. We have already recommended Slovene Dream to my parents - you can expect to hear from them!

Lovely, lovely place with lovely, lovely people - it would be difficult to overstate this. Šeruga was beautiful - green, pretty, lots of open spaces and things for us to look at, goats to feed, friendly dog, babbling brook and so on. Lili and Eva (and indeed Mr Seruga, whose name we missed) were the friendliest, kindest hosts who were so sweet with our three and a half year old girl - she had a one on one bread baking lesson with Lili which was a highlight of the stay for her. Her endeavours were served to her that evening on a tray which thrilled her no end. The breakfasts were fabulous with different breads and pastries every day - all home made - as well as fruit, cheese, yoghurts and more - all organic and delicious. We opted for half board and had a different, delicious meal every night served with their own wine - a great way of discovering the real local cuisine that is (probably) not available in most cafes and restaurants. Our room was lovely and we loved the guesthouse itself with its stone floors and beamed ceilings.
The service from yourselves was excellent and we will definitely return not only to Slovenia but to Slovene Dream. Thank you very much!

 Hiša Franko - Location was quiet, staff very helpful and friendly. The hotel was unpretentious which was nice, considering it could easily have been on the wrong side of the line. Food was excellent, as was the wine. And Illy the dog made a very good impression.
 Vila Park - Absolutely spotless and immaculate. Excellent secluded location. Jana is an excellent host. Food was also very good.

Great accomodation; absolutely fell in love with Pule Estate and didn't want to leave! Had a lovely waiter for the whole time we were there who didn't really speak much english, just slovene and german, but we communicated fine (helped by my gcse german from all those years ago!). Beautiful country, great food and drink. Car train to Lake Bohinj was a great suggestion and saved us loads of time if slightly terrifying!

My return to Slovenia was just as breathtaking as my first visit. I am still in awe of what a beatiful, clean, friendly and high standard country this is. We spent our first 4 nights at Vila Park and Jana once again made us feel so at home. Special mention to Andre for his excellent culinary skills - I commented to my partner how, despite it being a set menu with things that I wouldn't have probably chosen if given the option, we loved every single meal we had. The hotel is luxurious and the setting is gob-smackingly beautiful. We will definitely return again.
Dobra Vila was new to me this year but what a treasure! My partner commented on what an amazing building it is - the perfect example of an art deco building, both inside and out. Andrea and her partner (and the rest of the staff) are very friendly, welcoming people and their dogs are gorgeous too! We had room 2001 which was beautiful. Although we didn't eat there during the evening, we enjoyed the breakfasts very much. I know quite a few people back home who would love this hotel and will be recommending it to them.

 Dear Bob, we returned from our holiday on Wednesday evening and thought you would like to know that we thought the Socca Valley was superb, although unfortunately until the day we left the weather was pretty awful [it's been around 30C since Derek came back!]. We were just lucky enough to see it with the sun shining before we left. We liked the little town of Kobarid and of course the river and surrounding countryside are wonderful. Hotel Hvala was to a reasonable standard and the food and wine were as good as you said and we enjoyed our stay. The transfers were excellent and worked out perfectly. We like Slovenia and if we think of returning we will contact you for advice. Thank you for your help.

 We were very pleased with the hotel room [Hotel Bohinj], it was much larger than expected, very clean and bright and quiet. It had a lovely balcony and was as it said only a short walk from the lake which was great. The staff on the whole were very friendly and helpful.

Nice bits... the whole country! Ljubljana was brilliant. Hvala was stunning - how can the Soca river be that colour? Look into the history of Kobarid - it's not just about white-water rafting/paragliding - the history is very moving. Seruga was lovely and Lilli was too. We were made very welcome and before you have unpacked your bags, you are feeling relaxed and peaceful.  By this time the weather was 33C which also helps with the relaxed feeling!
Thanks for your advice - we would have hated Kranskja Gora. It worked out brilliantly in the end.

Hotel Bohinj: pleasant hotel and nice room - spotlessly clean. Staff truly friendly, courteous and always helpful. Would choose again.
Sun House: met all expectations for style and service. Such committed and welcoming staff, nothing ever too much trouble for them. Ate on the room's patio every night with tasty choices from the cold snack menu and great wine from Jeruzalem + the view.
 Bob: thank you for persuading not to go to coast but to explore elsewhere + suggesting car hire. The whole trip was a joy and Slovenia and the Slovenes are v. special. The Jeruzalem Ormoz wines magnificent value - hope you get them flowing over to UK soon! Your service and specialist advice made all the difference - thank you.

 The Šeruga farm was both beautiful and relaxing. Lili and her daughter could not have been more friendly, or more helpful. We had an enormous room. The food was fantastic and the wine/beer we had with it amazingly cheap. Top marks for scenery, culture and history, travelling about Slovenia, Slovenia, and Slovene Dream. Not surprisingly, we will be back.

 Great break, we really enjoyed Ljubljana, it was so quiet in the old town, restaurants were good and caring.
Tour was excellent from the town hall. Hotel Antiq was excellent. Thought the room a little small at first but once settled in it was very nice and a little quirky.
 Lake Bohinj [Vila Park] - loved it, hotel very nice, so friendly, food good, position fantastic.
Lots of walking, hose riding, didn't really want to leave. Looking forward to going back in late spring another year.

 Hotel: I was thrilled to find a huge bath, not just a shower, and the rooms were spotless and had a wonderful rustic charm.
Staff: We loved them! Such a friendly family and Lili gives 110% to her guests. Rina the dog adding to the charm of the whole place.
Dining & Wining: Fantastic home-cooked, organic food. Whilst not cuisine food, it was totally delicious and we were fed til our bellies hurt!!
Culture & History: Difficult to know what to do on this front in the snow!! We'd certainly like to return in the summer sometime.
Scenery & Ambience: Perfectly tranquil and stunning area.
 Activities & Sports: Drove 1.5hrs to Kravec for a day ski-ing on Lili's advice, and had an excellent day out. Also, loved our long walks in the local vicinity.
Travel around Slovenia: Our hire car was very nice and we wished England had as good roads!
Car Rental: Excellent. Really appreciated you sorting it all out for us too.
Will we go back ? We want to move there!!

 Relaxed and laid back feel to the hotel which for a 5 star I was not expecting [Toplice]. Rooms were beautiful. We could not fault the breakfast and serving up until 10am was a real bonus. Beautiful view from our hotel room, definately worth paying the extra for. It was very queit whilst we were there [mid-December], not sure how it would live up to expectation in the high season. Hotel staff not as friendly as I was expecting. Slovenia itself is a beautiful country and still very unspoilt. Loved it.

My husband and I just returned a few days ago from our amazing trip. We absolutely loved the area, Kobarid, the people we met, the restaurants we ate in (best seafood we'd ever had [Hvala - Topli Val]) and the town itself all made our stay truly memorable. Hisa Franko was a nice hotel with very original rooms. Ours was one of the larger ones with a Jacuzzi and nice outdoor terrace. The restaurant was very good, and the staff - I can't praise them enough, they were all exceptional and bent over backwards to make us feel at home.
 Nebesa exceeded our expectations, it was the most relaxing place we've ever stayed in and we both agreed that two nights was not enough. We'll definitely return some time in the near future.

 Belica: lovely part of the country, great views, delicious food and first class wine selection.
Hvala: nice enough hotel but the real star of the show is the restaurant and the maitre d' - very charming chap and we ended up spending a fortune on his recommendations!
Kendov Dvorec: very characterful, friendly staff, an incredible taster menu comprising entirely local products and wines to match served in a very romantic setting.
 Antiq: the perfect location for a city break in my opinion, the suite was awesome and it's got real character. Well worth the money and Ljubljana is possibly my new favorite capital city!

We loved Slovenia, the country is truly beautiful, although we are nervous to tell too many people in case it gets busy! We loved the mountains and the slaps (waterfalls!) and the children were tired out most days from great adventures.
 The Bolfenk apartments - were very clean and new looking, lovely balcony, generally well equipped. People were friendly and on our first night laid on food in the restaurant when we had none! Team on reception did their best to help us with local attractions.
Vitranc apartments (Belopeski Dvori) - Really friendly helpful people, place was certainly full of character. Area was outstanding with plently to explore quite near by. Restaurant at the hotel was nice food and we visited a couple of times.

 Vila Park was way beyond our expectations with a huge balcony, lots of new books and great interior design. Food excellent and plentiful. Friendly and helpful hostesses so that we knew that what we set out to do was achievable. Saw a red squirrel, road skiers, ate the best ice cream in the world, walked miles, feel fitter, rested and ready for the new term (me) and the new world (John).

Beautiful gardens and great pool.

Pristava Lepena was a dream for us and our son. Simply magical for anyone with kids or without for that matter.

 Pristava Lepena is a sensational place in a spectacular setting. The way Syllvia and Milan are able to provide a "full service" 4 star hotel with the personal feel of a boutique B&B was the key for me. For our children (8 & 4) the freedom to roam and play made it a magical place. The Soca / Triglav area is simply stunning. I'd love to return to the area. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the hotel and the area to anyone.

We had a really lovely holiday. The hotels [Lovec and Antiq] met our expectations and the staff were very help and welcoming. We loved the complimentary liquers before or after dinner!
The Antiq was situated right by the town yet was lovely and quiet due to being in the 'pedestrian only' part. It certainly helped to talk to an expert on the area before making my booking as I felt responsible for the other 3 in my party to make the right choices for everyones satisfaction.

 Everything was FABULOUS!!!! Both myself and my partner had an absolutly amazing time!! We we're both very impressed with Slovenia, after not knowing what to expect. It's a beautiful country.
The hotels were all very impressive, the Antiq was exclusive, and perfectly situated in the old town, which i really liked.  The Lovec was also situated central and the staff extremly helpful. They upgraded our room to a family suite with no problem as our room was a twin on arrival and we had booked a double, but this didnt phase us. and the Hiša Franko was out of this world!! The hotel itself was beautiful, with great food and a lovely outdoor seating area which made it nice to sit out and have a cold beer...
We did so much whilst in Slovenia....namely, White water rafting on the Soca river, Canyoning in Bled, went to the beach in Piran, poped to Italy for an ice cream, experienced the car train, walk amongst beautiful scenery and the BEST bit of all.....My boyfriend and I got engaged whilst rowing and boat on the serene Lake Bled! PERFECT!!!!!.....THANK YOU!!!!! :))

 Truly wonderful location, Pristava Lepena is fantastic. Fabulous hosts; Milan and Silvia are incredibly interesting, helpful and kind. The restaurant was excellent - we always eat in different places when away - we ate at Pristava Lepena EVERY night - lovely food served by our friendly, funny waiter, Alan. Being so relaxed in such a natural environment was great. Splendid horse riding down to the river valley and plenty to amuse the boys: rafting, canyoning, paragliding - a great time had by all!! We've recommended it to EVERYONE we know!!

 The Hvala where despite having only stayed there once before we were remembered and welcomed like old friends, not only by the reception staff (I think the main girl's name is Erika who is charming) but also by the utterly wonderful head waiter Aleš as soon as we entered the restaurant. The friendliness and consideration of the staff which gives the place such a warm feeling. Our sincere thanks to them all.
And then of course there is the food!!! Ahh what food it is. Forget calling it the best fish restaurant in Slovenia - if there is a finer restaurant of any kind in Slovenia then I want to hear about it [actually Bill, we'll be pointing you in the direction of a few!] because I haven't come across anything like it anywhere in Europe except perhaps in Switzerland (where the costs would be double). It isn't just superb fresh premium quality food, it is blended and layered taste sensations of a kind I've seldom experienced anywhere, and certainly never in Britain.
 The scallops were the best I've ever tasted (and that's one thing we usually do well in Scotland), the steaks somehow got better and better when you swore they couldn't, the sea bass was exquisite, and the venison was simply devine; but it was the evident thought and care for the accompanying elements which created whole-meal experiences that impressed the most. That and Aleš' unfailing knowledge of exactly what wines to recommend and often what courses to go with the wines selected. He remembered our tastes in wine from last year and served us some wondeful examples while educating us on the range of growers and varieties. If there is a finer head waiter in Europe he must be very special indeed. He runs a tight and superbly trained team all of whom are constantly but discreetly observing their customers for the slightest sign of anything they might require and attending to it immediately.
Eating in the Topli Val is a very special pleasure.

 Loved Slovenia. Both hotels more than met our expectations. Food at Hisa Franko some of the best we have ever eaten.Food at Belica delicious - liked way it was possible to sample a variety of their wines.Found everybody we met so friendly and helpful.  Will definitely return toSlovenia.

Had a great holiday and loved the country. The Soca River was spectacular and definitely the highlight of my trip. Ljubljiana was a fantastic city. We got to see a lot of the country since the hotels were spaced out on all edges! Dinner at Hisa Franko was really good - service and food. Seruga accomodation was perfect, food was great and Lilly and Eva were lovely.
Sun House was great, lovely intimate location, and wonderful staff - even came by car to fetch us when we were exhausted on our bikes and rain was coming.

The Sun House - again we loved it. we stayed in Manhattan, it exceed expectations in terms of the hotel. fab design, attention to detail - a real one off and very special.  We woould book through you again you were fab and we were so happy overall and one of our best holidays. We thought your service was excellent – especially arranging for Stuart to watch the football at Nebesa – what a great touch, he was delighted!

 We went to Slovenia for our honeymoon and got there after experiencing Paris and Venice. The train from Venice to Lubljana was a lovely way to travel.
We got picked up by a nice man from Avis from the train station to the hotel Antiq.
The staff at the hotel were more than polite and helpful and the room we stayed in (number one) was superb - very unusual and cosy. We only stayed the one night which was a shame. The area is very safe and is full of cool bars and places to eat. I only wish we'd had more time to explore the city.
Our second destination was Nebesa. We had quite a scary drive there but that was only due to the fact that we had never driven abroad before. In retrospect, the journey was quite simple.
It was a beautiful day when we arrived and Katja was outside grooming their goregous New Foundland dogs.
She was very friendly and helpful.
We got to our chalet and it was at that point I felt we were truely on our honeymoon as the place was so peaceful, remote and the scenery was beautiful.
During our stay we spent our time in the wellbeing centre which is a delight, driving to the Lakes Bohinj and Bled, visiting local places like Kobarid, relaxing, thinking, drinking fine wine and sampling the local meats and cheeses.
Katja and Bojan certainly have created an absolute gem in Slovenia and I would recommend anyone who needs some time away to totally chill out and feel spoilt to stay at Nebesa.
In general we found Slovenia to be full of lovely people, have some magnificent views, to offer sporty people a lot of activities, have a very interesting history and to be one of the most charming places we have ever visited.

 Bled was beautiful - so much so that it inspired my boyfirend to propose to me on the shores of Lake Bled, perhaps we will go back for our wedding.
Vila Bled was in an amazing location and the view from our suite was fantastic. The staff where very helpful and we enjoyed a lovely relaxing afternoon in the spa which we had all to ourselves.
 We would happily go back to both hotels [Union] and look forward to visiting Slovenia again in the Summer.
Slovene Dream were also extremely helpful in helping us arrange our trip and we would definitiely use you again and reccommend you to all of our friends who now too want to visit Slovenia
