Hotels in Slovenia
A comparitively new arrival to the Ljubljana hotel network, Dvor Tacen is a very welcome addition for the Slovenian capital's tourists.
The guest rooms at Dvor Tacen come in three flavours: Standard, Premium and Deluxe. All share the same quality of interior design, furnishings and facilities, the main difference being size (22sq.m.; 25sq. m. and 32sq. m. respectively), the Deluxe being large enough to fit an extra single bed for a child or teenager (all will take a cot, of course).
The Premium and Deluxe rooms also feature very high quality mattresses, ensuring your rest is as comfortable as possible. Furthermore, they have views over the Sava river. Oh, plus l'Occitane soapy stuff - yum.
As well as the usual breakfast fare you would expect in a good European hotel, you will also be offered a choice of local Slovenian dishes - while much of the produce will be source from local producers and farms.
The bar is what you might call typical mid-European, in that throughout the day you can snack on cakes (or snacks), drink a little tea, indulge in some local fine wines, be cautious with the local schnapps... and, depending on the weather, either relax on the terrace or in the charming lounge.
There is also a restaurant for lunch or dinner, specialising in Slovenian dishes, with a little influence from its gastronomic neighbours.

In the summer, shorts, frocks, T-shirts, sandals (or sturdy shoes or boots if you're off walking), something warmer for the evenings and something waterproof in case it rains. In winter: wrap up!
More than welcome.
Dvor Tacen is open all year.
Summers are warm - July and August are the hottest months, with daytime temperatures around 25C, while during spring and autumn you can expect around 15-20C.
Winters can be very cold indeed, with deep snow sometimes between December and March.
