The Soča Valley is
full of well-marked hiking trails, plus plenty of places to stop and feed your face, of course.
Slovenia should really be awarded the crown of Walking Capital of the Whole Wide World: it is simply amazing how many walking trails there are, criss-crossing the country.
Most Slovenes have a thing about walking (once they get out of their cars, that is), and think nothing of pootling along for a few hours to see where they end up.

walking, you can also hire mountain bikes... or ride horses... or splash about in the river... or paraglide... or... |
