Hotels in Slovenia
Perfect for those who want to stay somewhere quiet, but only five minutes drive from the old town - and just three minutes from the Ljubljana ring road, which also serves as a gateway to all other regions of Slovenia.
The building is very modern, with twenty-six bright and comfortable bedrooms, some with showers and some with baths, all with air conditioning, satellite TV and wireless internet (there are also a couple of laptops available for rent and use in the hotel's wireless reception). The rooms are on the first and second floors: so far there is no lift, but they're planning to build one of those vertigo-inducing outside glassy ones. The reception has a lounge bar and a breakfast area - when it's warm and dry, both are extended onto a large decked open terrace.
There isn't a restaurant... but they do do very nice breakfasts in the morning, while throughout the day and evenings they serve toasted sandwiches, pizzas and cold platters, plus teas, coffees, juices and alcoholic drinks (including a very good wine list).
Anyway, there are far too many excellent restaurants to choose from in town.

In the summer, shorts, frocks, T-shirts, sandals (or sturdy shoes or boots if you're off walking), something warmer for the evenings and something waterproof in case it rains. In winter: wrap up!
More than welcome. The hotel is set back from a minor road, and there is plenty of space for kids to play... although they'll be dragging you off to splash in pools, march around castles and visit ice cream bars, no doubt.
Ahotel is open all year.
Summers are warm - July and August are the hottest months, with daytime temperatures around 25C, while during spring and autumn you can expect around 15-20C.
Winters can be very cold indeed, with deep snow sometimes between December and March.
And Ahotel, was great as well. While they couldn't begin to compete with the amazing places [Nebesa, Vila Park] we had already been, they made up for it with the service. They were exceptionally helpful in so many ways.
I could go on and on about the wonderful trip, but I know, you know!
